Lumpkins by SergicalCevi Lumpkins by SergicalCevi
A species I made for :iconfloraverse:

They are open species to all in the group :3
If you have any questions let me know :D

I know Lumpkin is a bad name, but my son saw this and asked if they were Lumpkins (I honestly have know idea what he was talking about) and it was cute so I said yes xD

I just realized a couple typos, I am sorry!

Lumpkin information listed below:

Their heads can be any shape as long as it still appears bird like and the mask must always be white.

A Lumpkin is an omnivore eating just about anything they can find. I would classify them as a scavenger.

Common elements for a lumpkin are as follows, due to the type of groups that they live in and breed in you should keep in mind that there can NOT be any couplings that aren't listed. Due to the fact that it is very rare for one to wander from it's own group to breed with a Lumpkin from another group of different affinities.

Earth and Poison (This coupling lives mostly in mountains and other rocky ares with little vegetation.)
Air and Water
Water and Poison (These are the ONLY Lumpkins that can have a difference in body color due to being more amphibian like)
Earth and Water (This coupling lives mostly in forests.)

You can create other affinities for them as well but PLEASE keep in mind that if you breed them or have many of them that they must mostly, if not all be the same if you intend on them being in a group together!
You can make many different Lumpkins as long as they don't interact with each other. They are territorial and don't want to meet up with other groups of different affinities in their own territory.

Lumpkins prefer to be left alone in their groups they don not make good pets and avoid villages and towns at all costs due to the larger population.  PLEASE do NOT keep them with many other species. (Though if found as a baby abandoned by its group they can be raised with other species and can also be trained as a pet, though this is rare.)

Lumkins have their young by laying a bath of eggs from anywhere between 2-6 eggs per clutch.

Lumpkins are found all over the world, though their appearance changes radically from region to region (Think how different a possum is in Australia compared to the possum in the US)

COMMUNICATION !!!! This is very important.
The Lumpkins communicate through touch. They rub wings or faces and pick up on emotions and thoughts. Not like being able to clearly read minds, much more like a small glimps into what one is thinking through their emotions.

Example; If one Lumpkin is sad another could rub against it and understand why. Not truly see the reasoning but understand it.
